Dialog Builder

Origin analysis tools such as Linear Fit, Polynomial Fit, Sigmoidal Fit and FFT, as well as the NLSF Wizard, were all created using OriginPro 7.5's Dialog Builder.

Dialog Builder is a key feature of OriginPro 7.5. By using Dialog Builder and MS VC++, one can create sophisticated custom interfaces utilizing industry standard controls. OriginPro's Dialog Builder allows complex user interfaces to be built quickly and easily, so that researchers can focus on writing their analysis routines, without struggling with Graphical User Interface (GUI) Programming.

Create custom interfaces such as dialog boxes, floating tools, and wizards. The operation of these interfaces can be easily programmed using Origin C and LabTalk. Object method and property syntax are based on their placement in the tool for easy reading. Object properties can be set by using literal constants or other object properties. Once developed Dialog Builder tools can be e-mailed to colleagues for use on any version of Origin 7 or later.

Wizards can step users through complex procedures involving input, graph interaction, and result output. User choices can be stored as a toolbar button allowing the same procedure to be easily executed later by clicking a single button.

Embedding Origin Graphs

Custom tools made with Dialog Builder can directly incorporate an Origin graph. Users have full control over every graph element. Dialog Boxes, Tabbed Tools, and Wizards can be run without showing Origin, while providing the full power of Origin's data management and analysis capabilities.
