Polynomial Regression

Polynomial regression can be useful to create a standard curve for interpolation, or to create a smooth curve for graphing.

Automatically perform polynomial regression through the Analysis menu or set up a fit using the Polynomial Fit tool. Initial parameter estimates for the polynomial fit are calculated automatically and the results of the fit are reported to the Results Log. The menu driven fit also gives you the option to include the resultant fit equation in the graph window.

All settings and operations available in the Linear Fit tool are also in the Polynomial Fit tool, with the exception of apparent fitting, fitting through zero, and fitting with a fixed slope. See them here.
