JMP provides a revolutionary approach to design of experiments. You describe your engineering problem (the factors, interactions, budget constraints, and goals) and JMP constructs a tailored design for you. You no longer need to worry about finding a tabled design and then struggling to match your problem to it. JMP fits the pieces of the puzzle together for you using a D-Optimal designer. Our Custom designer is unique to JMP and is currently not offered in any other software package.

The Custom designer allows you to mix factor roles as required by your situation. Compare many different designs using the Prediction Variance Profiler to assess the quality of the design. Choose the design that best meets your need.

Custom Design 1

Use the Custom designer to produce a two-factor response surface design with a three-level categorical factor. You can construct the design with only twelve runs (or as few as eight) instead of the traditional and much more expensive twenty-seven runs.
